Liquid Injection Molding

Our Liquid Injection Molding (LIM) service provides complete clean room molding of medical components. It is a manufacturing process for forming objects by heating the molding material to a fluid state and injecting it into a mold. Once cooled, the material is ejected from the mold. In addition, Liquid Injection Molding (LIM) is a closed-loop system using 2-part liquid silicone rubber (LSR) that is delivered by an electronically controlled pumping unit. This unit is integrated directly to the injection presses. The LSR is pumped from the containers the manufacturer ships it in, be it 55 gallon drums or 5 gallon kits. This system virtually eliminates any chance of contamination.

The pumping unit delivers the 2 parts of LSR to a ...

Conventional Machining

CNC Turning

Every customer has concerns about product performance, cost control, timely delivery and risk mitigation. IRP’s advanced approach to producing custom-molded rubber products successfully addresses each of these concerns with superior innovation, precision and reliability. We offer CNC Turning of hard and soft materials to ultra precision tolerances in addition to in-house grinding, honing, and lapping capabilities.

Using our state-of-the-art CNC Lathes, we are capable of machining aircraft engine components, aerospace structural components, and air bearings, to name a few.

Overmolding (Rubber Bonded to Metal)

For more than 25 years, equipment manufacturers throughout the United States have turned to IRP for plastic, rubber and fabric-reinforced rubber components molded to exacting specifications. Our Overmolding services bond elastomers to a metal shaft or form. First, the metal component is heated in the presence of oxygen to form an oxide layer on the surface of the metal. Once complete, an uncured elastomer is adhered to the metal and cured to form a chemical bond between the metal component and the elastomer.

Today, IRP continues to provide manufacturers of all types with quality molded components made from a wide line of elastomers matched to their specific uses and delivered quickly to meet demanding production schedules.

CNC Milling

CNC Milling

At International Rubber Products, we use state-of-the-art CNC Vertical Machining Centers and typically machine a wide range of parts. We use 3 and 4 axis Vertical CNC Machining (up To 12,000 RPM) to machine parts which include pump housings, flanges, clevises, gear boxes, and adapter plates, to name a few.

We typically work with materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum brass, gray iron, ductile iron, bronze, and plastics. Using machining centers such as the Doosan HP 4000, we’re able to accommodate a wide variety of projects at our 28,000 square foot facility.

CNC Turning

Conventional Machining

IRP offers complete machine shop services. Specializing in tight-tolerance fabrication, IRP’s Conventional Machining capabilities produce components to meet even the most precise specifications. We offer conventional machining of hard and soft materials to ultra precision tolerances in addition to in-house grinding, honing, and lapping capabilities.

Extremely versatile, IRP can produce prototypes using tools ranging from super-precision chuckers to large diameter lathes. Product diameters can range from as small as 0.062 inches to as large as 25.00 inches, and be as long as 240.00 inches.

Compression

Compression Molding

At International Rubber Products, we have the ability to mold in place a variety of gaskets, seals, check valves, and bellows, to name a few. Compression molding is the simplest and, in some applications, still the most efficient method of molding certain rubber components. A pre-form of uncured rubber is placed into a mold cavity and through heat and pressure, the uncured rubber is vulcanized in the shape of the cavity. The mold is then manually opened and the part is removed from the cavity.

We are able to offer the fastest turnaround time possible. Our quality control starts the minute the orders are received and continues throughout the molding and secondary operation process to the point of assembly and shipping. ...
